Great news has arrived from the Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education—two teaching cases organized and submitted by the School of Law and Public Administration of Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST) have been successfully selected for the "China Professional Degree Case Center Case Library."

Both cases are derived from real litigation matters: "Analysis of China's First Copyright Infringement Case Involving a Local Standard: Jiangsu Tianshun Metal Materials Group Co., Ltd. et al. v. Anhui Wuxing New Materials Co., Ltd. for Copyright Infringement Dispute" and "Unfair Competition Case Involving the Misappropriation of 8 Engineering Images."

These two cases, both of significant representative value, were represented by Rayto Law Firm. The firm supported their provision to the NUIST School of Law and Public Administration for transformation into high-quality teaching cases, facilitating the deep integration of legal education and practice.

The "China Professional Degree Case Center Case Library" is a national-level professional degree teaching case center platform established by the Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education. Selected cases represent a high level of teaching and research in their respective fields within China and hold significant exemplary and reference value for professional degree education nationwide.

"China's First Copyright Infringement Case Involving a Local Standard" focuses on a landmark dispute in the fields of intellectual property and standardization. This case clearly defines the copyright legal attributes of local recommended standards and the criteria for infringement determination, providing important guidance for balancing standard copyright protection and standard promotion/implementation. The case explores how to protect the intellectual achievements of standard-developers in accordance with the law within the context of promoting technological innovation and industrial development, offering valuable reference for the adjudication of similar cases and the legal governance of standardization work.

"Unfair Competition Case Involving the Misappropriation of 8 Engineering Images" precisely addresses a new manifestation of unfair competition in the digital economy. Although involving a limited number of images, the case provides an in-depth analysis of the unlawful nature of using others' engineering case images for commercial promotion, clarifying its legal characterization as false advertising, a violation of business ethics, and an act that harms fair competition order. The case holds significant practical reference value for regulating promotional practices within the industry, protecting corporate innovation achievements and reputation, and maintaining a healthy market ecosystem.

Both selected cases possess distinct contemporary relevance, representativeness, and theoretical-practical value. Their successful inclusion is not only an important achievement in the teaching and research work of the NUIST School of Law and Public Administration but also a reflection of Rayto Law Firm's professional expertise.

Rayto Law Firm has always emphasized the summarization and study of practical cases and actively participates in legal education and academic exchange activities. Moving forward, the firm will take this selection as an opportunity to continue its deep cultivation in the field of intellectual property, aiming to achieve even more fruitful results in both academic research and practical application.
