On June 30, 2026, under the guidance of the Xiamen Municipal Market Supervision Administration (Intellectual Property Office) and the Xiamen Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the “Trade Secret Rights Protection Practice and Case Sharing Exchange Meeting,” jointly hosted by the Xiamen High-Tech Development Association and the Association’s Intellectual Property Rights Protection Workstation, successfully concluded at the Xiamen Science and Technology Training Center. As one of the key supporting activities of the 2026 Xiamen Talent Service Month, this exchange meeting focused on the pain points and difficulties in corporate trade secret protection. Through practical explanations and case analysis, it helped enterprises improve their trade secret management systems, address shortcomings in internal management, and effectively enhance the awareness and risk-handling capabilities of management and technical talent in Xiamen’s high-tech enterprises regarding trade secrets. More than 60 representatives from nearly 50 key enterprises, including Yealink Network and Shipbuilding Heavy Industry, participated in the event. The activity received strong support from the Xiamen Intellectual Property Office, with relevant staff present to provide guidance, and was moderated by Tang Donghua, Secretary-General of the Association.

Sun Yanglong, Deputy Director of the Frontier Technology and Industrial Science and Technology Division of the Xiamen Science and Technology Bureau, was invited to attend the event and deliver a speech. He stated that trade secrets are core invisible intangible assets of enterprises, a core element of technological innovation and market competition, and play a vital role in industrial development and market economic activities. China’s Civil Code has explicitly included trade secrets within the scope of intellectual property protection, and intellectual property is also one of the important assessment indicators for national-level high-tech enterprise recognition. He hoped that representatives of participating enterprises would take this training and exchange as an opportunity to deepen their work in trade secret protection and intellectual property utilization, play a demonstrative and leading role, promote the improvement of enterprise intellectual property protection systems, strengthen the protection of innovation achievements, and build a solid intellectual property foundation for the high-quality development of Xiamen’s high-tech enterprises.

Attorney Fei Yan of Jiangsu Rayto (Hangzhou) Law Firm was specially invited to give a keynote report. Attorney Fei Yan systematically explained how enterprises can build a comprehensive trade secret protection system, and provided detailed explanations around three core modules: basic knowledge of trade secrets, key points for building corporate confidentiality systems, and the latest typical practical cases. He broke down key content such as the definition of trade secrets, implementation of confidentiality systems, avoidance of infringement risks, and evidence collection for rights protection in an accessible manner, and accurately analyzed common confidentiality loopholes and risk hazards in business operations.

This event was both professional and practical, helping participants clarify the key points of trade secret protection, laying a solid foundation for enterprises to build standardized and systematic confidentiality risk control systems, and further enhancing their ability to protect core assets.
