The paper "Pro Se Response and Exploration in Cross-Border E-commerce Intellectual Property Disputes," authored by lawyers Liu Jingyang and Du Yuancheng from the Rayto Zhiwen Team, was awarded the Second Prize for Outstanding Paper at the 20th East China Lawyers Forum!

In cross-border e-commerce intellectual property disputes, "Pro se response" refers to a strategy where a party chooses to represent themselves in U.S. litigation proceedings without hiring a U.S. attorney. This paper conducts a systematic study on the feasibility, strategic approaches, and key risk points for small and medium-sized Chinese cross-border sellers opting for Pro se responses when facing overseas litigation, providing practical insights and references for cross-border e-commerce enterprises dealing with overseas intellectual property disputes.

Furthermore, this paper also gained recognition at the 15th Anhui Lawyers Forum. Held in Wuhu from October 22nd to 23rd, this year's Anhui Lawyers Forum featured four parallel sub-forums addressing topics such as "Party Building Guidance and High-Quality Development of the Legal Profession," "New Quality Productive Forces and the Transformation of Legal Services," "Reform and Development of Criminal Defense," and "Cross-Regional Integration and Collaboration in Cross-Border Legal Services." The forum received nearly 310 paper submissions, selecting 40 authors for presentation and exchange.

Following evaluation, the paper "Pro Se Response and Exploration in Cross-Border E-commerce Intellectual Property Disputes," authored by lawyers Liu Jingyang and Du Yuancheng, was rated as an Outstanding Paper at the 15th Anhui Lawyers Forum!

These two honors not only reflect our firm's lawyers' dedication and expertise in their professional fields but also demonstrate our research strength in the area of cross-border e-commerce legal services. In the future, the Rayto Zhiwen Team will continue to encourage lawyers to actively participate in industry exchanges and discussions, providing clients with higher-quality and more cutting-edge legal services, and contributing to the high-quality development of the legal profession.
