From July 30th to August 2nd, with the conclusion of the fourth session, the National Training Series on Capacity Enhancement for Foreign-Related Intellectual Property Lawyers, jointly organized by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the Ministry of Justice, successfully concluded!
Mr. Zhang Zhicheng, CNIPA Party Leadership Group Member and Deputy Commissioner, emphasized that foreign-related IP lawyers are a crucial force supporting high-quality technological innovation and promoting high-level opening up. He expressed hope that participating lawyers would continuously enhance their professional capabilities based on the needs of the times, industrial innovation, and opening up, to help strengthen overseas IP protection for Chinese enterprises.
This series of training sessions, themed on international dispute resolution, overseas dispute response, cross-border risk prevention and control, and overseas application strategies, featured lectures by experts from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), relevant ministries, universities, and institutions in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Over 300 foreign-related IP lawyers participated in the training across its sessions.
The National Training Series on Capacity Enhancement for Foreign-Related Intellectual Property Lawyers consisted of 4 sessions. Throughout this high-caliber training program, Rayto Law Firm demonstrated its profound expertise.
Session 1 (International Dispute Resolution): Managing Partner Jiang Haijun (recommended by the All China Lawyers Association) and Trademark & Brand Practice Head Meng Tan (recommended by the Yangzhou Sub-Center of the National Overseas IP Dispute Response Guidance Center).
Session 2 (Overseas Dispute Response): Foreign-Related Legal Practice Head Chen Bin (recommended by the Nanjing Sub-Center of the National Overseas IP Dispute Response Guidance Center).
Session 4 (Overseas Application Strategies): Lawyer and Patent Attorney Wang Yujiao (recommended by the Jiangsu Lawyers Association) were invited as industry representatives to participate and were awarded completion certificates!
This training series was visionary in its purpose and meticulously designed. It invited numerous national IP experts to lecture, aiming to systematically enhance the service capabilities of China's foreign-related IP lawyers.
Its high caliber and high value were further reflected in the stringent entry requirements. Taking the fourth session attended by Lawyer Wang Yujiao as an example, only 85 lawyers, representing 85 law firms nationwide, participated. All required over 5 years of practical experience in foreign-related IP legal practice, truly assembling the elite forces in China's foreign-related IP field.
The curriculum balanced depth and breadth. The fourth "grand finale" session attended by Lawyer Wang Yujiao, closely aligned with the pulse of the times and practical needs, covered crucial content including:
Challenges AI poses to the intellectual property system
Impact of China-US competition on Chinese enterprises' domestic and overseas patent portfolio strategies
Global IP Governance: Legal Positions and Career Paths in International Organizations
Analysis of typical foreign-related patent cases in emerging fields like AI
Key strategies for patent application and portfolio management in major countries and regions
The course content was closely tailored to the actual demands of the current international IP landscape, providing strong support for lawyers assisting Chinese enterprises in "going global."
The successful completion of the training by Rayto lawyers Jiang Haijun, Meng Tan, Chen Bin, and Wang Yujiao marks not only personal career milestones but also a vivid demonstration of Rayto Law Firm's philosophy of "continuous advancement" in the foreign-related IP domain.
In the era of global competition, Rayto Law Firm has built a team of lawyers possessing both international vision and local expertise. The firm remains committed to providing robust support for Chinese enterprises within the intellectual property domain.
